Barbara Kosakowska is a graduate of the Faculty of Graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. She works mainly in the field of photography and installation art. The basis of her work as a photographer is the question of memory and the need to preserve disappearing memories.
“The reproduction of events from the past, mainly from childhood, when I remember them (although I know that the memories are not always true), gives me the opportunity to consolidate the magic of childhood and the preservation of memories.
It is also important for me to document everyday life, but again not with the accuracy of a reporter, but from my subjective point of view. So you could say that I reinvent and create memories with my photography”
